Born from a passion to help people discover God's heart toward adoption, Act of Life promotes the benefits of adoption as a loving way to create families.  We desire to see adoption recognized, understood and presented as a parenting choice.  It is from this desire that Act of Life dedicates itself to educating, encouraging and equipping those considering adoption, the people who serve them and society in general. 

 

Currently over 1 million abortions occur each year in the United States.

Recently available statistics indicate that for every 2,235 abortions performed

for an unplanned pregnancy only 1 adoption takes place.

We believe that if we are diligent in raising general awareness (adoption advocacy), in educating people in front line ministries, and in providing tools and resources to offer adoption as a parenting choice, we will see a decline in the number of abortions performed in this country.  We will also see an impact on single parent families which often lead to children being placed in the Foster Care system.  If adoption is not offered as a parenting choice it makes it easier for a woman to choose abortion or to choose to parent too soon, before she is prepared.

With further support Act of Life will continue to set in motion the chain of events that helps to save lives and create families.  We will be praying for you as you discern just how God might want you involved with this most urgent and amazing ministry.
